Hopefully everyone remembers to set their alarms for UFC on Fuel TV 6 as coverage is set to begin at 9AM ET on Saturday, November 10 Live from Macau, China. The UFC invades China for the first time and will provide fans in the Far East with a main event that features two of the best middleweight strikers in the organization. Rich Franklin and Cung Le will throw some leather in a five round fight that is sure to create some fistic fireworks.
The UFC’s hashtag for the event, #rudeawakening, is quite fitting as most in the Western hemisphere will be watching the main card during breakfast on Saturday morning. It should be worth it however as the main card features some entertaining match ups that will help clear the early morning grogginess. The co-main event features a light heavyweight battle between Thiago Silva ands Stanislav Nedkov, which will help to determine if Nedkov is ready to take the next step and if Silva is still relevant in the division.
Also featured on the main card is an assortment of match ups that features some well known Asian talent: Dong Hyun Kim returns from an awkward loss to face Paulo Thiago in the 170 lb division, Alex Caceres will throw down against Motonoby Tezuka in a bantamweight tilt, Mac Danzig faces the always exciting “fireball Kid’ Tankanori Gomi and finally Jon Tuck meets Zhang Tiequan on his home turf in lightweight bouts.
The undercard is highlighted by a flyweight bout between John Lineker and Yashuhiro Urushitani. If the later can win impressively he will move right back into contention for the flyweight title in 2013. Rounding out the card wil be:
185 lbs.: Tom DeBlass vs. Riki Fukuda
135 lbs.: Jeff Hougland vs. Takeya Mizugaki
170 lbs.: Hyun Gyu Lim vs. David Mitchell
