UFC on Fuel TV 7: Barao vs McDonald Predictions- Kamikaze Overdrive MMA

The UFC is back in the United Kingdom at Wembley Arena for an action packed card headlined by an Interim-Bantamweight Title fight between champion Renan Barao and challenger Michael McDonald. With Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz on the shelf for a prolonged stay, Barao captured the inter-title with a unanimous decision win over Urijah Faber at UFC 149. Michael McDonald has plans on making history in London if he emerges victorious as the youngest UFC champion in promotional history. The challenger is fresh off a first round knockout of former WEC Bantamweight champion Miguel Torres and looks to extend his winning streak while ending the champion’s 30-fight undefeated run.

In the co-main event Dustin Poirier takes advantages of the misfortunes of German Kickboxer Dennis Siver, filling in as an injury replacement to meet Cub Swanson. Swanson has won a trio of fights by knockout to move back into title contention, while Poirier rebounded from his defeat in a 2012 Fight of Year candidate against the Korean Zombie Chan Sung Jung to defeat Jonathan Brookins.

The six fight main card also includes a pair of Light Heavyweight bouts. K-1 veteran Cyrille Diabate battles dangerous striker Jimi Manuwa and the heavy handed James Te-Huna meets Ryan Jimmo who scored a 7 second knockout in his promotional debut.

The other two bouts on the Fuel TV will take place in the 170 pound division, as Icelandic grappling ace Gunnar Nelson tries to improve to 2-0 inside the Octagon when he meets veteran and newly minted welterweight Jorge Santiago. Opening the card, Che Mills returns to action against the man they call ‘Deep Waters’, Matthew Riddle.

The prelims play host to a number of local fighters including Lightweights Terry Etim and Paul Sass who fill face Renne Forte and Danny Castillo respectively. Andy Ogle fights Josh Grispi, Tom Watson welcomes Stanislav Nedkov to the Middleweight division, Vaughan Lee meets Motonobu Tezuka and Phil Harris tangles with Ulysses Gomez in the opening fight of the night.
