UFC on Fuel TV 8: Silva vs Stann Predictions- Kamikaze Overdrive MMA

The Octagon returns to the land of the rising sun with another stack Fuel TV card. Headling the event wil be a special feature Light Heavyweight bout as former Pride Champion Wanderlei Silva returns to the country where he became a legend to battle the last man to hold the WEC 205lbs title, Brian Stann. Stann is taking a step away from the Middleweight division to take this oppurtunity to battle one of the greatest of all time in Silva. Wanderlei is coming off a tough defeat in Brazil where he nearly stopped Rich Franklin but fell by decision in a 5 round war. Both fighters always leave it inside the cage and this fight should be no different with these two heavy hitters squaring off.

In the co-main event Stefan Struve intends to keep his rise into title conention moving along at the expense of the Super Samoan Mark Hunt. Hunt has won 3 in a row, but a longer then normal time away from the cage could have cooled off the former Pride fighter. With Hunt’s heavy hitting power and Struve’s dangerous submission skills don’t walk away when the bell starts because this one is not going the distance.

One of the greatest all-time Japanese fighters and former Pride Lightweight champion Takanormi Gomi battles Diego Sancehz. Sanchez is returning to Lightweight where his last fight was an unsuccessful title shot against BJ Penn. Gomi has won 2 in a row and a win over Sanchez could very well launch the Fireball Kid back into contention.

Rounding out the six fight main card, Yushin Okami will try to defend his home turf against heavy hitting former Bellator Champion Hector Lombard. Lombard is coming off his first UFC win over Rousimar Palhares and Okami has won back to back fights earning a decision win against Alan Belcher in his last battle. Dong Hyun Kim continues his quest for a UFC title shot against dangerous knockout artist Siya Bahadurzada and Rani Yahya hooks it up with Mizuto Hirota in the Featherweight division.

The Undercard is headlined by a Middleweight collision between Riki Fukuda and Brad Tavares. Also on the prelims WEC veterans Bryan Caraway and Takeya Mizugaki battle it out in a Bantamweight fight as do TUF alumni Alex Caceres and UFC debutant Kyung Hoo Kang. The five fights that will get this event started will be available on Facebook and will feature a number of new talented trying to earn a UFC roster spot.
