UFC Fight Night 35: Rockhold vs Philippou Predictions- Kamikaze Overdrive MMA
UFC Fight Night 25 on January 15th, 2014 will be headlined by a ranked Middleweight bout featuring former Strikeforce champion Luke Rockhold and the hard hitting Costa Philippou. Rockhold dropped a disappointing UFC debut at the hands of current Middleweight buzzsaw which ended his 9 fight winning streak. Philippou saw his 4 fight run ended by Francis Camont, who subsequently has parlayed his success into a fight with another former Strikeforce 185 pound champion in Jacare Souza. The winner of this fight will restart their climb up to the newly wide open Middleweight divisional ranks, while the loser will almost certainly stumble into the newly minted 11-15 rankings.

In the co-main event, unrequited Strikeforce title challenger Loren Larkin battles Ultimate Fighter Alumni Brad Tavares in what is surely to be an exciting stand up battle. Larkin rebounded from a controversial debut defeat, to hand Chis Camozzi a one-sided beating to improve his UFC mark to 1-1. Tavares has been on an impressive run of late, notching wins over Bubba McDaniel, Tom Watson, and Aaron Simpson and another signature win over Larkin would continue the rise of the young battler.

Also on the main card, Yoel Romero faces off with Derek Brunson in a battle of former Strikeforce competitors, #15 ranked Dustin Ortiz faces former Flyweight title challenger and #4 ranked contender John Moraga, and long time UFC veteran Cole Miller tries for back to back wins at Featherweight when he meets the always entertaining and heavy handed Sam Sicilia.
