UFC FIGHT NIGHT 132: Cerrone vs Edwards- Bet Pack Review

Parlay Header

Depending on your betting style, you can select the Big Bank Roll Parlays which employs a betting strategy focussed on straight and 2-leg parlays that limit the risk and offer a decent return based on your financial commitment. If you are willing to take a little more risk and aren’t interested in putting as much cash in play, but still want a shot at a big return- then the Big Risk/ Big Reward Parlays are for you. Playing both of these strategies together is not recommended.

Donald Cerrone +175 vs Leon Edwards -190 12379140591570510706dholler_ok_svg_med

I simply don’t have a lot of faith in Cerrone anymore. Unless he cracks a pretty durable fighter in Edwards, he is going to struggle to win this fight. I am hoping that Cowboy’s name value helps to improve the return on Leon a bit, but at this price I make Edwards a solid Silver Bet.

Draft-Kings-Logo

Cowboy is damaged goods. He can be hurt to the body and to the chin. When he loses, it is usually via finish. Edwards is affordable, add him.

Ovince St. Preux +137 vs Tyson Pedro -130

Big step up for Pedro here, but I like him nonetheless. If OSP had a better gas tank, he has a great chance to walk away with this fight. He seems to be a slipping a little bit and his athletic gifts aren’t able to cover all the gaps in his skill set. Pedro is dangerous anywhere this fight goes. He gets the finish. Watch for a live bet on Pedro if OSP wins round 1, but is looking tired. Silver Play.

Draft-Kings-Logo

Pedro is a first round finisher and similar to Cerrone, when OSP loses it is by finish. Book Pedro!

Jessica Eye +141 vs Jessica-Rose Clark -135

Even in her last win, I wasn’t impressed with Eye. Clark can work the clinch, volume striking, and could score a couple of key takedowns. Unless cutting to 125 for Eye is making a world of difference, she will eventually hit that wall again. It is here. Clark is a Solid Gold Play.

Draft-Kings-Logo

This fight is going the distance Pass.

Daichi Abe +250 vs Li Jingliang -244

Li’s chin is just too shaky. He has been hurt by multiple opponents and Abe can crack and he can counter strike. Li likes to push forward and that will put him right in the line of fire. Li took some damage in his last fight and that shows up here. Abe still needs to put together a good performance, Bronze play.

Draft-Kings-Logo

Abe is the bargain bin option here. At $7000 and a fight he can finish, he is the deal that allows us to spend elsewhere. Add him.

Petr Yan -493 vs Teruto Ishihara +431 12379140591570510706dholler_ok_svg_med

This is a pass.

Draft-Kings-Logo

Nope.

Felipe Arantes -110 vs Song Yadong +100

These lines are all over the place with some having Arantes the fav and others Song. I like the veteran here. He has beaten some pretty solid competition and he has the skill set to win this fight in either location. He has lost 2 in a row which can sour the oddsmakers a bit and that suits me just fine Gold Play.

Draft-Kings-Logo

Felipe has a pretty undervalued submission game and he knows how to use it. He has caught more established opponents with it. He gets it here. Add him.

Rolando Dy +145 vs Shane Young -155 12379140591570510706dholler_ok_svg_med

Young is the more diversified fighter and that is the key here. His cardio should also hold up here. He fought a very tough debut opponent which is most likely helping keep the line where it is. I had him closer to -190. Silver play.

Draft-Kings-Logo

Pass.

Hector Aldana +235 vs Song Kenan -259 12379140591570510706dholler_ok_svg_med

Nothing doing here. Not enough info on either man on the big stage.

Draft-Kings-Logo

Nope!

Jake Matthews -499 vs Shinsho Anzai +437 12379140591570510706dholler_ok_svg_med

Love Matthews, but not at this price.

Draft-Kings-Logo

I considered him, but he is awfully expensive.

Viviane Pereira -164 vs Yan Xiaonan +153

Pereira was my swing play. It came down to her and Young for the 3rd Gold Play and with VP already having some UFC success, she gets the nod. Xiaonan posses some physical concerns, but nothing that the Brazilian hasn’t dealt with before. Gold Play.

Draft-Kings-Logo

We probably see the cards here. Pass.

Matt Schnell +165 vs Naoki Inoue -180

Inoue needs to be on top of his game here as Schnell could be a tough cookie to crack if he is not. Either way, I see the UFC setting Naoki up in a winnable fight. Schnell has been knocked out twice and look timid in his last fight despite the win. Inoue pushes him and scores the victory. Silver Play, possibly dropping to Bronze depending on how things stack up in the parlays.

Draft-Kings-Logo

Pass.

Jenel Lausa +230 vs Ulka Sasaki -230 12379140591570510706dholler_ok_svg_med

Sasaki should take this. The line isn’t bad, but I will look at a prop option as well. Bronze play.

Draft-Kings-Logo

If Ulka wins it will most likely be by submission, act accordingly.

Melinda Fabian N/A vs Ji Yeon Kim N/A 12379140591570510706dholler_ok_svg_med

I can’t seem to find a line for this fight so I have nothing for you.

Draft-Kings-Logo

There is a fantasy line, but I am still staying away.

Prop Bets

Ovince St. Preux/Tyson Pedro Total Rounds Over 1.5 -125

I know this one could end in a hurry, but I like the Over here. OSP will want to avoid making an early mistake and Pedro will most likely recognize that he needs to fight a smart fight to avoid another Latifi letdown in the later stages. I see Pedro getting the stoppage, but maybe later in round 2.

Jessica-Rose Clark to Win by Decision +110

I have also see +100 which is still a solid play. Both girls are durable and don’t overwhelm you with their finishing skills at this level. I fully expect to see this one hitting the cards. Maybe a split, but Jessica gets her hand raised. Jessica-Rose Clark that is it.

Petr Yan/Teruto Ishihara

See the Betting Scenario Section.

Felipe Arantes to Win by Submission +435

He has subbed more capable and experienced opposition. His submission game is very undervalued which is probably why the line is so skewed and there are gaps in Song’s defense that he should be able to exploit. Love this line.

Jake Matthews to Win Inside the Distance +190 12379140591570510706dholler_ok_svg_med

Matthews might need to wear Anzai down a bit, but I see him eventually putting him on the floor and finishing him either by sub or GNP. He cracked Li a couple of times and hurt him. He continues to showcase his development here.
